Famous Words.......

My kids love to hear the famous words, "everyone hurry, we need to take pictures!"
Sometimes, with the reaction I get you would think I had invited them all to have a
tooth pulled. But as long as I continue to have such cute kids, I don't think I
will quit torturing them with pictures! Sorry kids!!

Next up.....Dallin

Next one up for a birthday is Dallin!! He wanted a "construction" party! Sounds easy enough right?! We delivered invitations to 10 little 5 and 6 year old boys. (and 1 girl) And this my friends is the end result!!

We played a few games, ate pizza, and then had cupcakes! After a lovely 1 hour of birthday party bliss, the party came to an end!! (Remind me again next year that short birthday parties are great!!)

I think the biggest highlight of the evening was Bill's magic show! The kids were in AWE!!! You'll have to ask him sometime for a demonstration.....(Sorry I thought I had a picture of the magic show!!) As all the kids left, I heard a number of them saying "Dallin's dad really is magic! " :)

Dallin and the others all had a great time! One more party down until next year..............

Christmas Cards......

1. Family picture taken........done
2. Christmas cards ordered.....done
3. Christmas cards picked up....done
4. Family letter written........done
5. Envelopes addressed..........done
5. Stamps bought................done
6. Cards mailed.................not yet done!

As you can see, I am at the final step of Christmas cards! As soon as the post office opens tomorrow, I will finish the last step! Yahoo!! I will no longer have Christmas cards to worry about. What will I worry about now?

(P.S. Please don't worry about me, I'm sure I will find something else to worry about! )

It's Autumn time! (well not really)

Ok, I know it's no longer "Autumn Time", but since I'm kind of been slacking I needed to put up our cute leaf pictures!

The kids had a blast playing in the leaves! I had no idea that a big pile of leaves would keep 4 kids busy for so long!!

Watch out 2, here we come!!

Well Breggan can officially continue to act like a two year old!!

His favorite thing is of course Elmo, so here was my best attempt at making an "Elmo" cake. (Notice Elmo has already had his nose tasted! Breggan was kind enough to crawl out of his crib himself and help himself to a few samplings of Elmo before anyone else was awake!)

Frogs and chickens and skeltons OH MY!!

One more Halloween over with! Just for future refrence you can't find trick or treat buckets on Halloween morning anywhere! So make sure to stock up way before Halloween, or just make sure you don't lose the ones you had from the previous year. Or in our case don't take trick or treat buckets as throw up buckets on trips....hence not wanting to wash them out, we throw them away at the nearest rest stops!!

Madellyn was a "Chinese Princess", the moment she saw this costume her heart was set on it. Bill even had to bring it back from Billings, because the Target here was out of her size!

Dallin was a skelton. He liked his costume, because their real use was jammies! He was so excited that after trick-or-treating he didn't even have to get jammies on like everyone else!!

Breggan was a frog. I couldn't get any pictures of him holding still. He always wants to see the picture on the camera. He doesn't understand that he has to have his picture taken first before you can see it on the camera. So this year the only pictures I got of him, are of him walking towards the camera.

Aubree was a chicken. I had originally got this costume for Breggan, but when she saw it, it was no longer for Breggan. She wore it around for a solid month before Halloween!

Pumpkins Phase 2!

Why yes, there is something more fun than picking pumpkins! It's carving pumpkins together as a family for FHE!! Who doesn't love playing in pumpkin pulp and seeds? The kids sure love it! We tried this year to talk them into just "painting" faces, but that was unacceptable!!

Breggan thought the whole pumpkin carving thing was pretty amazing! The only problem is I keep finding him in the kitchen with a butter knife trying to re-carve pumpkins!!

Aubree had picked the perfect "tiny" pumpkin. She wanted him to look sad! Dallin's is of course the Harry Potter scar and Madellyn wanted a "O" nose, "O" eyes, and an "O" mouth!

Gotta Love Pumpkins!!

Is there really anything more fun than picking pumpkins as a family right of the vine from a local farm???

Artist in the making?

I'm not quite sure how I became so fortunate to have such an artist amongst us.
Here are just a few of his latest masterpieces............

This one can be found on the entry door to the master suite.....

The above exhibt is located on the lower level above the couch!

This last exhibt is the one that I'm sure will make the little artist famous! Look at the amount of colors used in this piece. You will find this beautiful piece on the backside of the girls closet door.

Tours are open daily! Well not really, Mr. Clean magic eraser is going to be on the job tonight, no guarantees that any masterpieces will remain!! Let's just say no masterpieces better remain!!!

The last photo is of the great artist preparing for another great work! He must always practice on paper I'm guessing before using up a nice blank canvas!

Girls just wanna have fun!

Yes, this would be a important day for everyone to take note of. I was considered a "nice" mom on this day! I had invited a couple of Madellyn's friends over, without her knowing on a Friday after school. They had so much fun doing girl things, painting fingers and toes, putting on make-up, eating pizza, watching movies, and of course can't forget anything that might do with High School Musical! I must say that even Breggan looked pretty good with his bright red fingers and toes!! Luckily he put up a pretty good fight when they tried to put make-up on him.

Madellyn was even nice enough after her friends had all gone home, to let Aubree take a turn making her hair into a masterpiece!

Can I just say I love it when they get along like that!!

Adventures in Utah

Last Wednesday we went to Utah. We made the trip around to all the grandparents, which the kids always get to super spoiled by! We spent one day in Salt Lake, watching the new (well new to us) movie at the Joseph Smith memorial building, seeing what IKEA is all about and enjoying food from Cafe Rio!! We also spent one day bowling, and playing games at a new place in Ogden called "Fat Cats". The kids seemed to love bowling! I think it might have to do with the fact that they all seemed to get a higher score than me!! (But hey I didn't get to use bumpers like they did!)
The road trip was long, which I guess should be expecting with 4 kids. But with only one round of throwing up I guess we have NOTHING to complain about!!

THE FAMOUS RAINBOOTS

So if you haven't seen us wandering the neighborhood, or shopping in some store, you have probably missed seeing the all too famous ladybug rain boots. Aubree is 100% convinced that they match with every outfit!! Whether the weather was 90 degrees or it's snowing she would have her trusty boots on. Just like this picture, an all too common scene at our house, a swimsuit and the boots. I always swore I wouldn't be one of "those mothers" and here I am 4 kids later, just happy my kids are happy!!

Oh what do YOU do in the summertime?

Our summer consisted of numerous fun activities, not to exclude a trip to Utah, Prince family reunion in Idaho, Grandma and Grandpa Prince coming to visit us, and a trip to Seattle. Along with the other fun things you do in the summertime. (staying up late, getting to sleep on mom and dad's floor, numerous playdates and anything else that includes fun, and friends!!)

Yes, this is the beach in Seattle!

The kids loved the beach. We got to see the beach with Bill's brother Hyrum. Hyrum just happens to be a diver, so he knows pretty much everything about the ocean. Needless to say, the kids thought he was a genius and seemed to have a million questions for him. Thanks Hyrum for humoring all their questions.

We loved having Grandpa and Grandma Prince come to visit! We hoped we didn't burn them out, by taking them to see all the sights!!

Bill took Madellyn and Dallin (& Dobbie) to the "Prince Family Reunion" in July. They had a great time hanging out by the campfire, fishing, riding 4 wheelers (which mom didn't know about until they returned home), and playing in the creek. They rode home with grandpa and grandma and were very nice to each take a turn throwing up in the car!!

Yes, 4 kids and 1 dog can fit in one little sandbox!!

This is where it all begins!!

I guess you could say I'm one that follows the crowd, because here I am starting a blog!! Yikes!! But hey everybody is doing it and I don't want to be left behind with the "uncool" people.

So let's start with the tramatic day of the 1st day of Kindergarten for Dallin. What a cute boy, but my heck does he really want to go to Kindergarten? The answer would be yes, and he was very sick of me asking him this.

Next would be Aubree who is so very excited to start her little preschool co-op! Yes she thinks preschool is the very best thing, because now finally she is like the big kids and gets to carry a backpack!

Madellyn was so ready to start 2nd grade. She only broke her mom's heart for a few moments of time, when she let me know that she was going into 2nd grade with her friends and not with her mom!!

Well what now will I do with my time now that I have those three off to their different schools......the answer is Breggan!!

So you say, what can a little boy with a smile that cute really do? He can scoot chairs anywhere in the kitchen he would like. He can start the microwave, turn on the fan above the microwave, turn on the disposal, turn on the water, reach the medicine cabinet and any thing else he might find of interest, all with the help of the chair!! He loves to flush items, no matter the size or shape down the toliet and then reply very loudly bye bye!! I guess is to be expected, he is almost two!!
