Happy Birthday Breggan!

Breggan changed his mind numerous times as to what kind of birthday he wanted this year. But he finally settled on a "Cat in the Hat" party.
Bill is our family's "Ace of Cakes" and this is what he came up with.......

Good thing they have a dad that can make cakes, because I can guarantee you that mine would not look like this!!

But beware after you eat the black frosting off the cake, your tongue will look like this......

His favorite gift was his tool set. Now he can be like "Handy Manny". Boy they are easy to please at this age!!

Just Sydnee.....

No real reason for this post, just a few cute pictures of Sydnee.... Who needs a reason other than that?

Can you tell that she no longer wanted her picture taken??

Do you know the Muffin Woman??

A few weeks back I was awaken by the sweet smell of blueberries! I knew that I hadn't made anything, because I was still in bed!! I went into the the kitchen and this is what I found.........

Madellyn had made muffins from start to finish all by herself!! The muffins were awesome, but the other other awesome part was that she even cleaned up after making the muffins!!!! She has decided that she loves cooking! Every night she wants to help make dinner, it's great!! I love having a helper in the kitchen! This is a great way for us to spend time together and talk about her day at school!

Halloween 2008

The kids loved Halloween this year! I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that the weather was great!! Nobody came home complaining of being cold, it was marvelous!! (Don't let the frown on Breggan's face fool you, he really did have a good time!!)

Sydnee and I got to spend some alone time at the house handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. But that didn't mean that she got out of having to wear a costume!!

BACK 2 SCHOOL

School is finally back in session in our neck of the woods!! I can't believe Madellyn is a 3rd grader, and Dallin is a 1st grader!! They both seem too young!! Do we ever stop feeling like our kids are too young to be doing what they do?

And we are off and running with another school year, whether we are ready or not!!

SYDNEE PICTURES....FOR THOSE THAT DON'T GET TO SEE HER IN PERSON!!

Berry Fun!

** I'm back tracking a little to get caught up.**
We went and picked berries in Greenbluff, just so I could make homemade jam. I know that it's probably the same price to just go buy the silly berries from the store, but it's all about making memories right?!?!?

The kids had a great time, and I think we made great memories

The final product.....

One happy pregnant woman, with lots of jam!!!

Look who made it!!

SYDNEE LORRAINE PRINCE
AUGUST 1, 2008
6 LBS 14 OZ
18 INCHES

After a pretty hard labor and delivery we were so happy to finally get Sydnee here! I'm not sure why I decided not to have an epidural, I think I must have been crazy!! Bill said I did let one "dag-nabit" slip out! I think if that's the worse that came out then I did pretty good!

The kids can't get enough of Sydnee! They love her to pieces. Breggan had a hard time figuring out who she was the first day she came home. He kept asking me where the babies mom was. When we tried to tell him that I was her mom he would say "NO". I wrapped Sydnee up in a blanket and Breggan got so mad that I was letting the "baby" use Sydnee's blanket! Oh the poor boy was so confused! But I think he's finally realized that I'm her mom and she's here to stay!

We were so lucky to have such great friends that would take care of the other kiddos while I was at the hospital! It was one less thing for me to worry about. Thank you, Amanda and Emmylou!!! You guys are the best! My kids loved spending time at your houses!

I think I must be nesting..........

So it all started with me wanting to change the girls' room. What better time to do it than right before a new baby! I've known for sometime that I wanted the girls to have a pink and brown room, so I went and picked the paint and then hoped that I would find the bedding to go with it!! A little backwards I know!! Luckily Bill has been a very willing helper. I get the ideas, and he does the work!! It works out really nice!! I did paint the brown stripes though. (Luckily my friend Jessica was nice enough to come over and make some straight lines for me, because when I tried to make straight lines it looked like I was trying to make waves!!) Amazingly enough I found the perfect comforter for the room, now the girls' and I are both very pleased with the room!!(I still need to hang pictures on the wall, and get curtains up, but hey the big stuff is done!!)

These are the pictures of the girls' I took to match their room, I was quite pleased with how they turned out!!

Just another night at the library....

The library here had a fear factor night with lots of bugs for the kids to enjoy!! Here's a few pictures to document the night! (Ok it's actually a lot of pictures!)

Round #1 Gummy, and then sour gummy worms! Of course my kids all participated in this round. (sorry no pictures of this easy round)

Round #2 White chocolate covered ants!

Round #3 "Potato chip flavored larvettes". By this round Dallin was smart and decided he no longer wanted to play!! Breggan thought these were great, he would have eaten a whole bag if I would have let him!!

Round #4 White chocolate covered bugs, Madellyn got a cricket! Luckily by this point the rest of my kids had all backed out of the competition! Breggan only backed out because I made him. All he saw was chocolate, and couldn't figure out why I wouldn't let him eat it!!

Round #5 Dead crickets! Ok I was really grossed out with this one, and didn't get a picture of Madellyn chomping on that crispy cricket!!

Final Round!!

The kids still in the competition got to choose between a live cricket or a live mealworm. Madellyn chose the mealworm. She had a bit of a hard time getting this one down, but she did it!!

In the end all the kids left as winners! I guess if that's what you want to call them!! (I sure didn't ask for any bedtime kisses after this lovely evening!)

Watch me Grow!!!

So I really hate these kind of pictures. But when my kids look in their scrapbooks some of their favorite pictures are of me with them still inside!! So I guess you could say I'm doing it for the children!! :)

26ish weeks (I know I should have been holding a nifty little sign!)

Stay tuned because I keep growing and growing and growing!! ( I know you can hardly wait!!)
