(This is Rylee in her stylish, yet spendy, ($2400) hospital jammies!)

*Crawls EVERYWHERE…. FAST!  She still army crawls, but definitely has picked up speed!

*Loves, Loves, Loves, to eat!  This girl is not about to miss a meal!  Loves crackers and baby foods of all kinds!  (except peas)  One food she doesn’t like is Cheerios.  What baby doesn’t like Cheerios?

* Takes two awesome naps a day, goes to bed for the night at 6:30, and has given me a few more night of sleeping through the night!  YEAH!!

* babbles all the time,  it’s so cute!

* Hasn’t figured out after numerous attempts that her head is bigger than the legs in the piano!

*Loves taking baths, especially with Sydnee.  Those 2 can make quite a splash!

* Is a really really really good vacuum.  I thought my Dyson was good, but this girl, has got the Dyson beat by a long shot!

* Says Da-Da, but I don’t think she has it connected to daddy.

I can’t believe how fast Rylee is growing!  She is such a good baby, especially now that she’s been healthy.  We love her so much, and are so thankful she’s part of our family!

I think she’s a fish!

Last Friday was Madellyn’s first swim meet, she was so nervous! She’s on the swim team with one of her best friends, which helped settle her nerves a little! They were having a sleepover that night so they used the words “sleepover and ice cream, “ to help motivate each other!

Here she is doing the backstroke, and the freestyle!

In both pictures she is in the far lane. (In the first picture you can see how far of a lead she had!) This was her first swim meet, and she got FIRST place in both her events! Way to go Madellyn! She has really loved doing the swim team.  We  are so proud of how hard she has been practicing, even if she is exhausted she still keeps going!

Trip to the BIG city!

A few weekends ago Bill got invited to a banquet in Seattle.  So we tried to find babysitters for all the kids so we could go.  I didn't have a whole lot of luck. So I called one of my good friends that lives in Portland now, and asked her if she wanted to meet us in Seattle to babysit for us!  What a nice (or crazy) lady, she said yes!

This is the group of kids that she got to spend the evening in the hotel room with!

Bill and I had so much fun that night.  It was so nice to get all dressed up and go out somewhere nice without any kids!  (bummer,  no pictures of us together going to, or at the banquet!)

The next day we decided to go and see some of the “big city” sites.

First we went to Pike Place market to watch the “fish throwers”.  The nice “fish guy” let all the kids scoop ice and put it on the fish.  The kids thought it was SOO cool!

  IMG_2602 IMG_2614

This is an UGLY fish that the kids are STILL talking about…..

Then,  we saw the “Gum Wall”.  Never been there before, it was QUITE disgusting!  Yep, everything on that wall behind us, is GUM!!!

IMG_2621

Lastly, we headed over to Alki beach.  The kids loved throwing rocks in the ocean and looking for shells.

Thank you Kristi for coming to watch our kids!  We had so much fun, and wish you didn’t live in Portland!

No Bee’s in our house!

Thanks to this sweet girl……..

IMG_2743

Our house has none of these……….

bee#2

(at least no pretend ones!)

Sydnee is obsessed with “bees”!  They’re actually  flies, but she can’t say flies, so she calls them bees!  She collects them everywhere we go, and hands them to anyone that will take them.  Usually we just put them in our pocket, because that seems to keep them safe. The funny thing is, she hasn’t gotten sick of this pretend game yet.  She has been doing it since summer, when she actually saw “real” flies!  We were at the doctor the other day for a well child check up and the doctor was quite entertained by Sydnee crawling under the exam table, reaching under his chair, and then reaching as high as she could up the wall to catch bees. He finally asked me what Sydnee was doing,  I explained to him that she was collecting bee’s.  Luckily they are only pretend!  What a crack up she is!  Her job as a bee catcher keeps her pretty busy, and all of us pretty entertained!  Boy we love this girl, and her imagination!

There’s a wolf in the house!

Great job Dallin on finishing all the requirements to get your wolf badge!

IMG_2425 IMG_2422 IMG_2424

Dallin has loved being in scouts!  So far his favorite parts have been making his pinewood derby car, making a birdhouse, and getting to show off his penny collection!

Halloween 2010

Picking out the perfect pumpkin……

What a cold and rainy day it was to pick pumpkins, but we still had fun!

School Class parties…….

What fun parties the kids all had.  Madellyn’s grade doesn’t get to dress up, but her teacher made it up to them by having quite the loud party!  There was SO much food, a disco ball and karaoke!  Dallin’s class decorated cookies, played games and watched the “Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.”  Aubree’s class decorated Oreo's as spiders, ate slime and played games!  Breggan and Sydnee had so much fun watching the kids and seeing everyone at the school in costumes!

And finally the part the kids have been waiting all year for…..Trick or Treating!!

Are these not the cutest witches, skeleton, fireman, hotdog and puppy you have ever seen?

Another month older…….

Seriously can’t believe this baby is 8 months old!

This month Rylee has learned to crawl!

ry IMG_2343

She may only “army crawl”, but it gets her wherever she wants to go!

ry in highchair (2)

Rylee loves to eat, but if she’s not eating she is happy just hanging out in her highchair watching everything going on around her!

A few other 8 month bits of info……….

*Loves sleeping in her own bed, don’t try to hold her while she’s sleeping, she just wants to be in her own bed!

* Loves to be in her jumper!

* Has had a bad health month, 4 ear infections, the flu,  and pneumonia.

* Still doesn’t sleep through the night!  (Well she did ONCE this month!)

* LOVES her brothers and sisters, and crawls around the house to be with them!

* Has waved bye-bye and night-night! (pretty sure it was on purpose! )

Puts EVERYTHING in her mouth!rylee crawling #2

Rylee is such a fun part of our family!  We love her like crazy, and love watching her grow and learn and explore!
