A few weekends ago Bill got invited to a banquet in Seattle. So we tried to find babysitters for all the kids so we could go. I didn't have a whole lot of luck. So I called one of my good friends that lives in Portland now, and asked her if she wanted to meet us in Seattle to babysit for us! What a nice (or crazy) lady, she said yes!
This is the group of kids that she got to spend the evening in the hotel room with!
Bill and I had so much fun that night. It was so nice to get all dressed up and go out somewhere nice without any kids! (bummer, no pictures of us together going to, or at the banquet!)
The next day we decided to go and see some of the “big city” sites.
First we went to Pike Place market to watch the “fish throwers”. The nice “fish guy” let all the kids scoop ice and put it on the fish. The kids thought it was SOO cool!
This is an UGLY fish that the kids are STILL talking about…..
Then, we saw the “Gum Wall”. Never been there before, it was QUITE disgusting! Yep, everything on that wall behind us, is GUM!!!
Lastly, we headed over to Alki beach. The kids loved throwing rocks in the ocean and looking for shells.
Thank you Kristi for coming to watch our kids! We had so much fun, and wish you didn’t live in Portland!
