So Far Behind.....

So I'm not sure what's the proper way to catch up on a blog, when you are as far behind as I am....do you try and make up all the missing stuff, or do you just start from right now.  I'm going to go with starting right now! (Don't worry I will add the past 6 months to the blog book, so all our family history won't be ruined!)

In the past few weeks here's what the Prince house has been up to.......

Aubree entered a story in the "Reflections" contest, and was excited to receive an award for participation.  She wrote the story of her first plane ride with her dad!

Dallin's hard work in scouting paid off, as he received his Arrow of Light, along with his Webelos awards this month. He was pretty excited that his best friend Ben received his award the same night.  Scouting is one of Dallin's favorite things.  Learning and building are two of Dallin's most favorite things, so scouting is right up his alley!

Madellyn continues to swim 3 days a week, we have been so blessed with the amazing coach she has.  She just had a Championship meet on Friday, and placed 2nd overall for the area.  I love to see her dedication in something she loves so much.

Breggan finished up his first year of soccer this fall. He's anxiously awaiting the time for football sign-ups.  This boy is all about sports, and Angry Birds!

Rylee and Sydnee get to stay home during the day and hang out with mom.  I'm so blessed that I get to stay home with my babies!  These two are so into pretend right now.   I'm constantly answering "what" when I hear the name mom, only to be told they are talking to the "other mom"!  Another favorite game is hide-n-seek.  The other day the played for over an hour,  they each took turns hiding in the same place.  Yet each time they were just as surprised and excited to see each other.

Well, there is a really rough start as to what we have been up to lately.  Wish me luck as I try to get back on the blogging wagon!

Exciting Stuff!

So, I'm just wondering how long will the excitement of mowing the lawn last?
It was Dallin's first time mowing the lawn, he begged, and who was I to deny him? I was so impressed with what a great job he did! He's already begging to be the one that gets to mow next week!!

Yep....I'm THAT mom!

This isn't the greatest picture....but I needed to document that here we are with child #6, and I have finally turned into THAT mom!  You know the one that lets her 2 year old wear butterfly wings, a skirt inside out, and no shoes to church.  Because when you are two sometimes getting dressed all by yourself and not having someone correct you is important....right???  Too bad for the cute little butterfly, she was naughty in church, and dad had to cut her wings.  But luckily she was still able to fashion the skirt and no shoes.  The best part was after church she came out from nursery with a lovely new pair of shoes.  We had to return them, but Ry sure thought they belonged to her!  Maybe it's a good plan, send her without shoes, and she will come home with a new pair.....it's a thought!

Oh Sleep How I love You!!

There is nothing sweeter to me than a sleeping baby!

Oh to be a young, and be able to fall asleep anywhere.

Mother's Day Luau

Breggan's kindergarten class puts together such a fun celebration for mom's.  We all got to wear lei's.
His teacher trys to read a book called "Let Me Hold You Longer", by Karen Kingsbury
It's one of THOSE kind of books, that it took 2 teachers to make it through the book.
(I already own the book, and have read it with my two other kids that have had the same Kindergarten teacher, so I can usually make it through the book without tears!)  Oh and by the way, if you are a mom, you need the book!

We then eat snacks...No pictures of food!
The kids sing cute songs.
Then they finish the Luau with giving us moms a cute gift they have made.
I love watching Breggan in class, and how proud he was of all his hard work!

What a week....

If your week ends up looking like this, you know it's been a bad week!

Two kids sharing the same hospital bed, never a good sign. Hopefully by morning we will have turned a corner with this nasty virus that has made both these kids dehydrated!

And P.S
Incase you are wondering.....no you don't get a discount if your kids share a bed!

March Re-Cap........

During March we.........

Had green hair........

Had crazy hair........
 Worked on Pinewood Derby cars....
 Had championship swim meets

 and had choir concerts!

just to name a few of the things that kept us busy during the month.

Rylee turns 2!!!!!

Rylee was lucky enough to have her birthday party while grandma and grandpa Prince were here for Aubree's baptism.
I found a cake on Pinterest that I wanted, and passed it on to the cake maker!  It was darling, and showed what Rylee is all about.....tu-tu's and princesses!!

Rylee loved opening presents, and was so gracious to tell everyone thank you for everything she opened.

Rylee is such a fun girl.  She loves the color pink, and prefers not to have anything that's not colored pink.  She loves playing with Sydnee, and most of the time they get along great.  Rylee can be very loud, but we've decided that she knew if she was going to be #6, she has to make herself heard!  She is still the best sleeper!  I love her early bedtime, and the great naps she takes!  She loves to color, dance, sing, take showers, and do anything the big kids are doing!  She loves our dog, the two of them seem to have quite the special relationship.  Rio seems to know that Ry is the one that will sneak her food, every chance she gets!

Rylee loves her binkie (me-me as she and Sydnee call them) and her blankie, and she may or may not still have a bottle!!  We love this girl like crazy....but I can't believe she is already 2!!!

Dallin turns 10........

This year Dallin wanted a party at home with friends. So we invited a few friends over, for a movie, pizza, and cake.

I think Dallin's favorite gift was the trunk that Bill made for him, to keep all his "stuff" in that little siblings can't get!
Bill left it unpainted, so Dallin could decorate it anyway he wanted.  It's now covered in Native American symbols!
Dallin is such a sweet boy. He loves to learn.  Breggan asked him the other day "what's it like to die?" Dallin told him, "how should I know", and Breggan's response to that was " your the smartest kid in the whole school, you know everything!"
Dallin loves to make things, and take them apart.  I've had to have the discussion a few times about not taking everything apart, because we have had a few "accidents" where items weren't able to go back together!
We are so blessed to have our Dallin!  We love him like CRAZY!!

Madellyn's Surprise party!

This year for Madellyn's birthday, Bill and I decided to throw her a surprise party.  She has actually asked every year for about 5 years now if we were going to give her a surprise party.  So it was quite easy to tell her not this year...and have her believe us! Thanks to our amazing friend Krista and Kate, we were able to pull the whole surprise off.  Krista and Kate picked Madellyn up to take her to dinner and the mall to celebrate her birthday.  Then Krista thought maybe they should see how busy the skating rink was.    It was a lot trickier than I thought it would be to pull the whole surprise off, so to have Madellyn so surprised...made all the work totally worth it!!!
Not the best picture, but you can see the surprise in her face!

Another friend made these darling cupcakes.  Another one of those things I wasn't sure how I would pull off without Madellyn noticing! Thanks Amanda!!
I can't believe Madellyn is 12!  She is now in Young Womens' and loves it!
She is an amazing big sister, a great babysitter, an awesome swimmer, and a fantastic student!  We love her like crazy, and are so glad she had a good birthday!!!

Aubree's Baptism

Since I'm about 4 months behind in blogging, I'm going to try and catch up with some of the most important events that have been going on with us......

Aubree was baptized on her birthday this year.  She looked BEAUTIFUL in her dress. ( I nearly had a heart attack since her dress didn't show up until the day of the baptism!)

We are so proud of our sweet Aubree, and it was so neat to see all the family and friends that showed up to show Aubree their love!

I already know that I have awesome kids......but they confirmed it again this weekend! Breakfast in bed! Madellyn was the chef, the other big kids kept the babies' entertained, because I was not allowed out of bed! It was wonderful!

Rio

Looks like Rio is getting lots of love around here!

She loves to cuddle up with Breggan when he's playing his DS.

Such a cute puppy! (The babies' still don't care for her much! Hopefully overtime she will grow on them! ). So far we are really enjoying her! :)

Madellyn is almost 12!! (YIKES)

Because Madellyn will turn twelve this year, she was invited to attend a Young Women’s activity called New Beginnings!  I was shocked when she was invited, because I think I’m in denial that she will be old enough to be in Young Women’s!

It was an amazing night!  As I sat there with all those young women, our church leaders, and their families, I realized how amazing these people are!  I also realized that if Madellyn was going to continue and age on me, there were no other people that I would rather her be around!  Made the whole turning 12 idea a little bit easier on me!  (but just a little!)
